Photomicrograph (microscopic view) of sperm stained with a Papanicolao stain. There are multiple sperm with very large (abnormal) midpieces, occasional tapered sperm heads (pointed thin heads), sperm heads with vacuoles (large clear spaces), round cells that may represent either sperm heads without tails or white blood cells (WBCs), and broken or twisted sperm tails.
